HOT SPOTS THIS WEEK: good numbers of Blue Swimmer Crabs in the Merimbula good size snapper on micro jigs off Merimbula and Haycock.
Beaches and headlands are still producing Salmon and Drummer this week. Frozen worms, Blue bait & pilchards, local frozen bait is great bait for beach fishing and available at Tackleworld.

GAME FISHING: Odd Shark starting to show up, with some Yellowfin and Marlin being tagged this week.

TURA BEACH: Northern end producing some Salmon and good Tailor mixed in there as well on pillies or metal lures, try some Halco twisties.

MAIN BEACH: Bream & Whiting, look for the gutters, try using Worms and Pippies.

BEGA RIVER: Good Flathead have been taken over the last week on hard bodies. Estuary perch in the upper reaches, Bream also caught on the rock walls with small plastics and vibes with the odd Jewfish in the deeper holes on plastics.

BROGO DAM: Great catches of good size Bass on cicada imitations, spinner blades and vibes. Fishing early morning or into the evening.

PAMBULA RIVER/LAKE: Flathead on vibes and plastics, Whiting on the sand flats on surface lures.

MERIMBULA LAKE: Bream on vibes and bait, Trevally, and some Flathead also Whiting on the flats with surface lures, lots of Trevally on small plastics and metal jigs. Plenty Tailor on diving hardbody lures. Some nice blackfish also been caught on bait and lures. Plenty of Crabs on the go at the moment. Look out for the new moon for the next Prawn run.

MERIMBULA WHARF: A few Salmon and Tailor being caught on metal lures and also some squid on Yamashita 2.5g jigs, some big Kingfish have been there over the last few days, so be ready for them, with some big poppers and Stickbaits lures, maybe float some live Yakka’s out as well.

TATHRA WHARF: Salmon, Tailor and Squid still being reported, with a few Kingies as well.

REEFS: Snapper on bait and micro jigs – plenty of Morwong, plenty of good Flathead, out on the sand.

LOCAL HEADLANDS: Big Schools of Salmon, Kingfish coming through regularly

MALLACOOTA: Flathead on the Sand flats at Goodwin, Yellow Fin Bream up Dead Finish on surface and shallow divers.
