Full Moon = March 23rd New Moon = April 7th Water Temperature: 24-25 deg

Murray Cod: The full moon is tonight 23rd. There have been a few fishermen in for a night fish, however I have not had any reports of a big fish, as yet. Hopefully we will have a picture or two for next week. There was a sighting over the weekend of a Metre plus fish sunning near the surface around Cave Island. There were a good number of smaller fish between 40 & 60 cm caught over the weekend. Most of these cod were caught trolling hard body lures and spinnerbaits.

Yellow Belly: Some big fish have been caught this week up to 55cm. The guys trolling have been picking up their fair share of yellows with some big ones amongst them. Lures such as Jackalls, Stuckey’s, Predatek and the like will do the trick. Some of the bigger fish were caught with worms bobbed around the trees. The weather this weekend is forecast to be cloudy with a few showers about so the fish may not be holding as deep as previous weeks. The trees in the main basin and around Wade Island have been fishing well as has the trees at Scrubby and the islands and One Tree area above the Junction.

Redfin: The reports have dropped off this week. There are still schools around and the odd fish taking a trolled lure.

Park News:
The fire ban in the park has now been lifted. You may have a campfire in a drum or fire pit from this weekend. Wood will be available from the shop. Small wood may be collected from around the park. No chainsaws.
No dogs allowed for the Easter weekend.
A program of weekend activities is available at the office or on our face book page.
