Water level 24/02/16: 48.3%
Water visibility: up to 2 metres
Rain past 7 days: 0.0 mm
Forecast Weather: Late showers on Thursday & Friday after hot days. Mostly sunny for the weekend with a top temp of 36 for the weekend. Light winds.
New Moon = March 9th Full Moon = March 23rd Water Temperature: 24-27 deg

Murray Cod: Only a few reports this week once again. We did have the 115cm fish caught last week on the Monday night by Tim. Apart from that one the big fish have been quiet. The water continues to fall but hopefully for not much longer. The irrigation usually stops in early March. There is some rain forecast for late in the week so this may fire things up. Once the weather starts to cool a little the big fish will start to feed up before winter with March & April usually a good time to chase a big green fish.

Yellow Belly: A few good reports once again. Trees in the deeper water remain the most consistent option. Most boats are getting their bag each day. Bait fishing with shrimp down deep during the middle of the day. I have been seeing fish on the down scan as deep as 50 foot or about 15 metres. For the lure fisherman, chasing fish in the timber, a jig head with a plastic curl tail grub such as gulp or z man will get you down to the fish and won’t cost you a fortune if you happen to lose a few along the way. Trolling has been a bit steady. Very early mornings or late afternoon the best time for a troll. Good reports once again from above the Junction around the islands.

Redfin: Are still about. Reports were down a bit this week. Still not many big ones being caught.

Park News: The 2nd round of the Australian Yellow Belly Championships will be held at Burrinjuck on the 23rd & 24th April. Registration at http://www.aycfishingtournaments.com/.

The Telopea Park School Jazz Band will be performing from around 12 Pm at Lawlers Function area this Saturday. Bring a chair and enjoy the free show.
