Current discharge: 3500 ML per day.
Water level 18/11/15: 68.8%
Current inflow: 2800 ML per day.
Water level 4/11/15: 71%
Water visibility: up to 3 metres
Rain past 7 days: 35 mm
New Moon = November 12th Full Moon = November 26th Water Temperature: 23-25 deg

Forecast Weather: The pattern of thunderstorms has finally ceased. The temperature is set to peak at 35 here on Friday before dropping back to a top of 26 and a low of 8 for the weekend. No rain is predicted for this week. Wind will peak on Saturday afternoon at 16kmh. A stable high pressure system will be sitting over NSW.

Murray Cod: Closed Season 1st September – 30th November

Yellow Belly: Tough going for most over the past 2 weeks. Lure fishing particularly trolling has been slow. The Parks (Name not town) boys from Leeton were the exception during the weekend. They landed 10 fish using a combination of trolling Jackals, Small invaders and picked up their biggest fish, 50cm, rolling Gulp on trees. They put in some hours to get those fish. The early morning and late afternoon has been the best for the lure guys. Small live yabbies and shrimp remain the best option for bait fishermen. With the weather settling down and becoming hotter the fish will be holding deeper on their favourite snag or boulder. The water visibility in the main basin is quite good at around 2m so the yellows will not be too shallow during the middle of the day. This weekend may change completely with the weather and we may see a return to the fish catch rates of just a few weeks ago.

Redfin: Plenty of reports once again. Mainly individual fish taking bait or lures. This time last year we had schools of redfin boiling on the surface being reported all over the dam. Not so this year. Just yet anyway.

Carp: Have been cleaned out of our waterway over the past 2 weekends. The Canberra convention comp had a total of 232 fish or 537 kg removed. We also had a smaller comp this weekend with the biggest fish caught weighing in at 8.3 KG landed from the park foreshore. Bow fishing trials to begin at designated sites: http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/hunting/bowfishing-for-carp

Trout: No reports this week

Park News: This will be the last weekend Fires will be permitted. You will need to bring your own wood or we have a limited supply available at the office. A total fire ban will be in place at the park for the summer months. This includes heat beads. Gas BBQs are permitted.
