Burrinjuck Waters Holiday Park
Fishing & Lake Report 17/12/14
Current discharge: 8403 ML per day.
Water level current: 73.6 %
Current inflow: 2823 ML per day.
Water level: 10/12/14 73.8 %
Water visibility: up to 2 metres
Rain this week: 2 mm
Forecast Weather: Sunny with a top of 30 deg for the weekend.
New Moon = December 22nd Full Moon = January 5th Water Temperature: 23 deg

Murray Cod: It was back to normality for the fisherman this week after our record start to the Murray Cod season. We have had at least 16 cod over the metre so far this month plus a couple caught on the weekend before cod opening. No big ones reported this week however there were still a lot of fish over 80 cm. 90 cm being the biggest reported. The number of boats on the water was also well down on the previous week. Fishing methods have remained the same. Trolling large lures around the edges, deeper during the middle of the day out to 15 metres. Shallower during the twilight or night periods. Casting large spinner baits along the steeper rock walls or to submerged rocks or timber.

Yellow Belly: Catch rates picked up this week. Fisherman have reported the fish holding at around 10 metres in deeper water. One group found the fish in 2O metres holding in the top of submerged trees. They spot locked with their electric and dropped yabbies down the 10 metres or so to the fish. The yellows were following all the way to the surface. Another group reported doing well casting Jackalls around the many rocky points.
Redfin: Still no big reports but I am going to try a few of my spots this week.
Carp: Still taking lures, they seem to like cast Jackalls at the moment.
Park News: Park activities have been sorted up to the 3rd of January. Handouts at the office on check in. Tuesdays Burrinjuck fire was on the other side of the dam between Wee Jasper & Yass. Nowhere near the park. Merry Christmas to all and travel safe during the Christmas period.
