Water level: 24/09/14 85.2 %
Water visibility: up to 2 metres

Forecast Weather: Friday 4-24, Saturday 5-24, Sunday 8-28, Mon 12–30 possible shower
Full Moon = October 8th, New Moon = Oct 24th
Water Temperature: 16 -19.5 deg

Murray Cod: Closed Season.

Yellow Belly: The top end of the dam above Narren Gullen Island has continued to fish well. Trolling or casting hard body lures, crank baits and small spinner baits has all been working well, as has bait fishing with small yabbies, shrimp & worms. I had some good reports from River campers on the bottom end of the dam from Scrubby back to the park. Fishing small yabbies & worms after dark in the grassed shallow areas. Andrew & family from Cootamundra had a great session, catching 10 yellows in one evening all on worms. Trolling remains tough down the bottom end of the Dam. Casting lures such as small spinner baits, crank baits and soft vibes in around the submerged pines in the shallows is the best option for the lure fishermen. The water has been warming up nicely to be consistently above 18 degrees although the midweek cold spell will knock the temps back before warming up on the weekend.

Redfin: Remain quiet or just hard to find. It will be a few more weeks and some hot weather before they start to school up and come on the bite.

Carp: Plenty around with worms and corn the best bait.

Trout: No reports.

Park News: The grand final will be shown on the big screen at the Burrinjuck Store this weekend. Fires will still be allowed for the weekend. Bring your own wood or buy from the shop. We currently have 4 onsite caravans for sale. Contact 02 62278114 for information.
