There have been a few nice snapper coming from Mission Point lately and there have been good quality fish among them. There are good numbers of quality flathead around here at the moment and are best from Gallagher’s Gutter, Dunlop’s Gutter, from Lime Pocket, Poverty Creek and from the mouth of Bullock creek. There are some nice sand whiting coming in at the moment and are best from Gallagher’s Gutter, from the sand flats in front of Glassy, from Poverty Creek and from Lime Pocket. The bream are around in fair numbers and their quality is OK at the moment. They are best from around the Oyster leases, from the creek mouths, from the weed beds and alto from the Donnybrook Jetty and from the Rocky bottoms, they are also being taken from the 112’s. It would be worth a try for a snapper or two from around Whitepatch. Now the stormy weather arrived it will be well worth your while targeting a few mangrove jacks as they like this weather. There have also been reports of a few grunter coming from the Mouth of Glassy. The crabs are a no show at the moment but they could be on the move after a few storms as they have been very quiet so far this season.
