Weekly Report 29 Aug 12 - DONNYBROOK
Fishing is a bit slow here at the moment but we expect it to pick up over the next couple of weeks. There are some good quality flathead around and are coming from Gallagher’s Gutter, from Dunlop’s, Gutter, from Tony’s and also from Lime Pocket. Most of the sand flats from Glassy to Mission are producing a few flathead at the moment. There are a few whiting coming from Poverty Creek, from Glassy and also from Coochin Creek. The bream are still going pretty well and are best from the Oyster leases, from the creek mouths, from the weed beds, the Jetty, and from the 112’s. I would be looking for a few grunter from around Glassy as there are a few in the other areas we cover. Try Whitepatch for a few snapper but watch the size you keep as there are some small ones among them. No mud crabs at the moment and it will be a couple of weeks before you will see any around.
